Born in 1984 in Kasaragod, Kerala, Harisha Chennangod is a contemporary artist based in Vadodara. With a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from CAVA College, Mysore, and a Master’s in Museology from MSU, Baroda, his practice explores minimalist abstraction. His work embodies a philosophy of intentional maximalism that transforms into mindful minimalism.
Chennangod has exhibited widely, including Lokame Tharavad curated by Bose Krishnamachari, Art Bengaluru curated by Suresh Jayaram, Abstract Notations at Gallery Espace, Indian Encounters in Stuttgart, and All is Flux, Nothing Stays Still at RizQ Abu Dhabi. His solo exhibition Layers of Memories was showcased at Gallery Ekami, Kannur.
His practice is further enriched by residencies such as the Kochi-Muziris Biennale’s Graffiti program and 1 Shanthi Road, Bangalore. Deeply inspired by his roots in Kasaragod, Chennangod’s work engages with space, light, and materiality, offering meditative explorations of form and perception.
