Born in 1985, Vyom creates a world of shifting presences—where beings exist in flux, power is reimagined, and materiality itself becomes a site of transformation. Trained in sculpture at M.S.U. Baroda, his practice is shaped by an early apprenticeship with Lynda Benglis in the U.S. and later collaborations with potters in Mandla, Madhya Pradesh, and Molela, Rajasthan, as part of the Asian Heritage Foundation’s livelihoods program.
Vyom recently completed a project with Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan, Mumbai, and exhibited at the Indigo Art Museum, Ahmedabad. His work has also been shown at India Art Fair, Jaipur Lit Fest, The Guild, and Nehru Centre, Mumbai. Engaging with materials like metal, terracotta, cement, and papier-mâché, Vyom’s sculptures explore the fluid boundaries between form and formlessness, permanence and decay.
